I'm an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at NC State University, where I lead the Generative Intelligent Computing (GIC) Lab. My research focuses on deep learning, language models, and computer vision, with an emphasis on efficient and reliable agentic AI systems.
I received the NC State College of Engineering Dean's Applied AI Research Accelerator Award 2026, the AAAI Best Demonstration Award 2025, the AAAI New Faculty Highlights 2025, the Best Poster Award at AAAI 2025 Spring Symposium on GenAI@Edge, the NVIDIA Academic Grant Program Award 2025, the Microsoft Accelerating Foundation Models Research Award 2024, the NC State Carla Savage Award 2024, the Best Paper Award Runner-Up at IEEE IPCCC 2024, and the Best Paper Award at ICCCN 2023. I received my Ph.D. from Penn State in 2022.
I'm also involved in MARINA, a research initiative at the intersection of AI and marine sciences, focusing on advancing ocean modeling, environmental monitoring, and AI-driven scientific discovery. As part of my work on AI systems, I have contributed to the development of Synthora and Gentopia. Synthora is an extensible AI platform designed to enhance the computational efficiency of LLM agents through full-stack optimization. Gentopia is a lightweight framework providing essential components for building and evaluating LLM agents.
Outside of work, I'm a fan of American football (Wolfpack, Nittany Lions, Eagles).
